

Meet Deb Butler, MSW, LCSW, RPT
Deb is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist with 9 years experience helping children, teens, and adults build resilience and navigate life’s challenges. She supports clients with a range of needs, including depression, anxiety, anger, impulsivity, trauma, special needs, autism, and/or ADHD. She’s worked in schools and private settings, using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.
Deb creates a safe, supportive space where clients of all ages feel seen and heard. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, biking, baking, drawing/painting, piano, puzzles, and spending time with her kids.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Identify and work towards improving your life in the areas that you value. Use a combination of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, including CBT, DBT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.

PLAY THERAPY
For all ages 3+. Help your child who doesn’t speak much, your teen who is easily bored, or try a new approach yourself using play. Includes Sandtray, Child Centered, Autplay, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches.

GROUP & FAMILY THERAPY
Receive peer support, strengthen relationships, and/or help your family work through conflict or a difficult transition. Can be experiential or skill-building, focusing on social skills, parenting, or education.
What are your fees?
The initial call to discuss the possibility of working together is free. The first session is typically 60 minutes in length and is $175. Succeeding sessions for individuals cost $150 per 45 to 60 minute session. Family Therapy sessions cost $180 per session.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I currently take United Healthcare and Aetna. I can also take some out-of-network insurance. If you are interested in counseling but do not have UHC or Aetna, you can call your insurance provider to find out if they will reimburse you for some or all of the cost for counseling.
What ages do you work with?
I work with all ages, children (2 years and older), youth, and adults.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I would be happy to provide online therapy as long as the client is located in Missouri.
I noticed you work in Clayton. Is parking available at your office?
Yes, you can park for free in the parking lot right to the east of the building.
